As part of PHEN’s Prostate Cancer Disparity Rally, prostate cancer survivor Mr. Euvon Jones emphasizes early detection and regular check-ups with the doctor. Mr. Jones mentioned he did not pursue regular screenings and was diagnosed with Stage 4 prostate cancer that metastasized to his bones. He was given a hormone blocker medication to treat his cancer and then started a clinical trial where he received the Provenge immunotherapy. After 10 years of treatment, his PSA level dropped to zero and he became cancer-free.
