Congressman Gregory Meeks provided opening remarks at PHEN’s 2024 Prostate Cancer Disparity Summit. He detailed the importance of early detection screening for Black men.
“Thomas Farrington, the Founder of PHEN, understands how critical it is for the African American community to be informed of the importance of prostate cancer screenings for Black men. Studies show that one in four Black men are likely to be diagnosed with prostate cancer in their lifetime,” stated Congressman Meeks. “Screenings can lead to early detection, which improves the outcome of treatment.”
