Prostate Cancer Educational Videos
Welcome to the “Faith, Fathers & Health: A Call to Action for Prostate Awareness” event hosted by Ebenezer AME Church in partnership with the Prostate Health Education Network (PHEN) and Howard University Medical Outreach Team. The event will unite efforts of the Health Ministry and Men’s Ministry, led by Rev. Marcus Washington and Brother Ralph Miller, to educate, empower, and engage the community in life-saving health advocacy.
Prostate cancer remains one of the most significant health disparities facing African American men. Studies show that Black men are more than 70% more likely to be diagnosed and over 120% more likely to die from prostate cancer than white men. Early detection, education, and community support are critical to closing this gap.
PHEN, a nationally respected nonprofit, has partnered with the AME church to provide free education, monthly support sessions, and access to PSA screenings. With its vibrant ministries and commitment to holistic wellness, Ebenezer AME Church is an ideal partner for this movement.
