Thomas A. Farrington presents PHEN’s Next Decade of Action and announces two major initiatives scheduled to launch in 2027.
The PHEN North Carolina Prostate Cancer State Plan will build on partnerships with HBCUs, churches, cancer centers, screening providers, fraternities and community organizations. This year-round initiative will combine public awareness, free PSA blood testing, patient education and follow-up navigation across the state. The plan will also include the return of the “Daddy’s Boys” stage play as part of the public awareness campaign.
PHEN’s Boston initiative will bring a similar sustained model to high-priority neighborhoods through a highly visible awareness campaign, expanded survivorship education and support, free PSA screening events and follow-up navigation.
