Mr. Thomas A. Farrington, PHEN Founder and President, presented awards to multiple caregivers for prostate cancer patients and PHEN supporters. The President’s Awards were given to:

• Ms. Connie Knight
• Ms. Juarez Farrington
• Ms. Shirley Rhodes-Robinson
• Ms. Karen Salmon
• Ms. Clarice Green

Mr. Farrington discussed how his wife, Juarez Farrington, has helped him with ideas and plans for PHEN over the past 20+ years. Mrs. Farrington stated, “I am a caregiver of a survivor of over 25 years. I thank him for the award… I’m just thrilled.”

Clarice Green was also highlighted for attending nearly every PHEN Summit and many church-based events. Mr. Farrington thanked her for all her support. Ms. Shirley Rhodes-Robinson first began supporting PHEN in 2003 and has helped spread prostate cancer information through grassroots efforts, including attending church events. Ms. Connie Knight is often seen attending prostate cancer awareness events as well. Ms. Karen Salmon has also been committed to helping PHEN for years alongside her husband.

“I am glad I can be there to help you and support the PHEN family. You’ve always felt like family ever since we’ve been coming to the meetings,” said Ms. Salmon.
