Thomas A. Farrington closes Session One with reflections on the progress made in prostate cancer treatment and the work still required to eliminate disparities affecting Black men.
Farrington calls for wider adoption of evidence-based screening recommendations, increased public awareness and continued collaboration among physicians, researchers, advocates, survivors and community organizations. He also highlights PHEN’s commitment to providing trusted education and resources covering early detection, treatment options and clinical trials.
Tomeeka Miller shares the audience survey results, including participants’ ratings of the presentations and panel discussion, the actions they plan to take after the session and their recommendations for future Summit programs.
