Twelfth Baptist Church’s Rev. Dr. Willie Bodrick, II Raises Knowledge About Prostate Cancer Early Detection

As part of PHEN’s Boston Prostate Cancer Community Rally, Rev. Dr. Willie Bodrick, II, the Senior Pastor at the Twelfth Baptist Church, encourages African American men to seek early detection prostate cancer screening. He explains getting diagnosed early can raise long-term survival rates above 95% while late-stage detection drops to only a 35% rate!

“Prostate cancer is a crisis among Black men who suffer a death rate more than twice that of all other men,” Rev. Dr. Bodrick stated. “We must raise knowledge and awareness about the benefits of prostate cancer early detection. Increasing early detection within our community will save countless lives.”
