Jay Jhaveri, MD, MPH, Director, Medical Affairs Oncology, Bayer discusses Variance in Symptom Assessment Between Prostate Cancer Patient and Caregiver

At the 2021 African American Prostate Cancer Disparity Summit, Dr. Jay Jhaveri, the Director of Medical Affairs Oncology at Bayer Pharmaceuticals, discussed a study in how patients with metastatic prostate cancer may see their symptoms differently from their caregivers. In the study, patients and caregivers were asked to fill out quality-of-life questionnaires. Dr. Jhaveri explains that these patients benefit from shared medical decision-making and a team of people including caregivers involved in their care.
